A year like 2007 would never have produced a characterless wine. That year, drought bore down on the slate slopes of the Chteau which then produced grapes with a tendency to concentration. The producers called on every ounce of their expertise to select the right date for picking the grapes to mitigate this concentration and any excessive strength of alcohol.Color : Today this wine displays a beautiful ruby red colour with sparkling reflections. As if the sun shines through it. Nose : It has a generous nose with aromas of nicelyripe red fruits, such as strawberry, some blackberry too and even a hint of blackcurrant. These notes gradually and gently develop into scents of liquorice, and then, in a burst of freshness, some spicy notes cheerfully come to the fore. The wine has a nice integrity and delicacy.Palate : On the palate, it leaves the impression of incredible elegance. It is very refined, very noble, indeed of Royal blood. Its subtle and varied complexitycovers the range of ripe red fruit such asstrawberry, combined with liquorice and spices from the South. It is a great wine of superb quality which is perfect with red meats in sauces and also with barbecued meats.Alcohol content 14% Vol.
