WINEMAKING NOTES: The grapes for this wine were grown primarily in the Arroyo Seco appellation of Monterey County, which sits on a gravelly alluvial plain beneath the Santa Lucia mountain range. Cool winds from Monterey Bay ensure gradual ripening and the development of vibrant flavors. The gravelly soils of the appellation allow excellent drainage, enhancing flavor intensity.
TASTING NOTES: Initial scents of apricot and banana segue into a notes of lemon wafer and vanilla. Medium bodied and dry on the palate, a note that evokes essence of granny smith apple contributes a snap of acidity to the wine’s clean finish.
FOOD PAIRINGS: Grilled Sea Bass with herb butter, Chicken breast with lemon, heirloom tomato Bruschetta, Caesar salad.
