Details

IGP Pays d'Oc Sauvignon blancDESCRIPTIONDriven by a life-long passion for the beautiful wine-growing landscapes of the South of France, and the superb wines they produce, Gérard Bertrand's Naturalys collection is a new range of wines produced entirely from Organic grapes. Gérard Bertrand's commitment to sustainable agriculture has been recognised with ECOCERT certification, guaranteeing Organic production, environmentally-friendly packaging (labels made from recycled paper, untreated cardboard and corks of low environmental impact), and a low carbon footprint thanks to the proximity of the production and distribution sites. The Naturalys range is above all a collection of premium wines, designed to ensure maximum pleasure while reflecting the distinctive character of the grape varieties and their terroir, which our environmentally-friendly policy is helping to preserve for future generations.TASTING NOTESA resplendent, straw yellow robe.Aromatic nose with delicate notes of citrus (lemon and grapefuit)and yellow fruits. A delicate, crystalline palate, well-balanced and crisply-defined. Fresh and full-bodied, the palate compliments the citrus aromas revealed in the nose, adding a gentle touch of mint. The long finish is well-balanced, elegant, delicate and rounded, with prominent floral aromas and hints of fresh fruit.VINIFICATION AND MATURINGThe grapes are harvestedat night, and pressed immediately. This particular variety of grape requires a lot of care during the vinification process because of its high sensitivity to oxidation, allprocesses are therefore carried out in a neutral atmosphere. After 48 hours of static cold settling, the must is vinified in the stainless steel vats at reduced temperatures in order to preserve the fresh, fruity flavours and rich aromatic profile. The wine is gently fined and then bottled relatively early, to preserve its natural vivacity.∗ FOOD AND WINE PAIRING ∗Serve at 12C as an aperitif, or paired with shellfish and seafood, grilled fish, fish in sauce or even goat'scheese.
