Grape varieties: Blending of several typical Alsatian grape varieties
Origin: The vineyards stretch across two Départements, between Les Vosges and the plain of Alsace, from Marlenheim in the north to Thann in the south, reaching 120 km in length and 4 km in width.
Vinification: Traditional methods. Grapes are harvested manually in mid-September. After decanting and filtration, the wine undergoes a second fermentation or "prise de mousse". Matured on lees, the wine goes through a final rotation, disgorging and dosage stage.
Soil: Alsace is a patchwork of types of soil, each one very different from the next.
Tasting notes:
- Color: Pale “evening gown” pink with orangey tints.
- Nose: Fresh fig accentuated by a hint of citrus and orange peel quickly gives way to wild strawberries and the fragrance of small crushed red berries.
- Palate: A clean attack, lightly acidic before the full body comes to the fore with subtle flavors of raspberry and red currants. A refined and exciting palate.
Recommendations: An excellent quality Crémant to enjoy as an aperitif or at cocktail parties and receptions.
